Veterans Point Memorial is dedicated to the men and women who served in the Armed Forces of the United States. At Wells Cove, the Veterans Point flagpole and memorial were provided by the Earl and Barbara Griffin Foundation. Earl Griffin was a World War II veteran of the U.S.N. in the Atlantic Theatre and served as Maryland State VFW Commander from 1954 to 1955.
