Table Mountain is a ridge in California’s Diablo Range along the boundary of Kings and Monterey counties, with the broader area also linked to Fresno County. Rising to 3,476 feet, it is the highest point in Kings County. Its importance lies less in alpine grandeur than in its place within the regional landscape. Just north of the summit runs a major 500 kV transmission line associated with Path 15, situating the mountain beside one of California’s significant power corridors. In winter, the ridge receives a little snow, reflecting the cooler conditions found on the higher elevations of this interior range.
