Gardiner School, also known as Platte Co. District 8, was a rural one-room school about .5 mile northeast of this location in the Gardiner Station section of the Lincoln Highway. Established in 1910, it held classes until it closed in the early 1960s because of consolidation, and it was demolished in 1966. Grain bins now occupy the site, and a concrete section that had been above the door is all that remains.
