Currahee Memorial Field is dedicated to those of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment who gave their lives for their country. The First Airborne battle group 506th Infantry at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, dedicated it on July 20, 1958, from the people of Toccoa, Georgia.
