Summit Lake Ranger Station, also called the Summit Lake Patrol Cabin, is a historic ranger station near the center of Lassen Volcanic National Park along the main park road in California. Built in 1926, it was one of the first three National Park Service buildings constructed in the park, giving it particular importance in the park’s early development. The modest log building, about 20 by 30 feet, is distinguished by an asymmetric gable roof with a long rear slope. Its interior originally included a living area, kitchen, and two bedrooms, with a porch later enclosed as a bathroom. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and also contributes to the park highway historic district.
