The men and women of the Borough of Glassport who responded to the call of their country in the World War of 1917-1919 are honored here in a roll of names, joined by Woodrow Wilson's 1917 declaration: "The right is more precious than peace, we shall fight for the things we have always carried nearest our hearts, to such a task we dedicate our lives."
