Forest Park spans 1,371 acres in St. Louis and includes natural areas, restored historic landmarks, cultural institutions, hundreds of species of wildlife, and many opportunities for recreation and relaxation, attracting more than 13 million visitors each year. After falling into disrepair during the second half of the last century, the park entered a new era through a $100 million restoration campaign led by Forest Park Forever and the City of St. Louis. Forest Park Forever and the city continue to partner to restore, maintain, and sustain the park, with restoration projects completed, underway, and planned for the coming years made possible through visitor support.
