Cascade Mountain is a winter recreation destination in Portage, Wisconsin, along Interstate 90/94 between Madison and Wisconsin Dells. Easily reached from both cities, it serves skiers and snowboarders with 48 trails spanning beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain in an unusually balanced mix. The resort also includes three terrain parks and an 800-foot snow-tubing chute. Its longest run, Far Out, extends 5,300 feet and is notable not just for length but for scenery, passing old-growth forest, waterfalls, and rock formations. Together, these features have made Cascade Mountain a regional draw in south-central Wisconsin.
