The memorial honors the men and women of the Willshire community who served in the armed forces of the United States and remembers those killed in action in Viet Nam: Carey Allen Fosnaugh, Army, 8/27/69 - 1/23/70; William Lee Miller, Army, 9/25/66 – 8/21/67; and Benny James Sapp, Army, 10/18/68 – 11/20/68.
