Kibby Mountain is a mountain in western Maine’s Franklin County, about 3.5 miles east of the Canada–United States border and near Spencer Bale Mountain. It lies within the Kennebec River watershed, and its slopes drain in several directions through streams that ultimately reach the Gulf of Maine. Water from its north side flows by way of the East Branch of the Moose River, while other sides drain through Caribou Flow, the Middle Branch of Kibby Stream, Spencer Stream, and the West Branch of Spencer Stream. This remote summit area is also the site of the Kibby Wind Power Project, connecting it to a significant modern energy development in Maine.
