Established in 2007 by the Fairfield Historical Society, the Fairfield Museum and History Center in Fairfield, Connecticut, serves as both a museum and research library devoted to the region’s history and the people who shaped it. Its exhibitions explore local and regional history, art, and culture, while its education programs reach thousands of students and teachers each year. The research library supports the study of Connecticut history through manuscripts, newspapers, family histories, church and land records, and the Collier Collection. The organization also extends its work by managing several public historic properties, including the Ogden House, Sun Tavern, and the Victorian Barn.
