Anakeesta Knob is a 5,988-foot mountain in the central Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee within Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Lying between Mount Le Conte and Mount Kephart and Charlies Bunion, it is the tallest mountain in Tennessee below 6,000 feet. The mountain is mostly forested, but exposed rock outcrops mark its summit. The Boulevard Trail reaches it along the route between Mount Le Conte and the Appalachian Trail at Mount Kephart. Its Cherokee-derived name is said to mean either “the place of high ground” or “the place of the Balsams.”
