The F-100 Super Saber was first delivered to the Tactical Air Command in September 1954 and was fully operational from October 1957 to June 1972. This aircraft belonged to the 524th Tactical Fighter Squadron at Cannon Air Force Base, New Mexico, the last operational F-100 unit in Tactical Air Command, where retirement ceremonies were held on June 10, 1972. Its armament consisted of four 20 millimeter M-39 cannons with 200 rounds per gun, and two underwing stations could accommodate bombs as large as 1,000 pounds.
