Fellowship, Florida, was an early Florida community settled in 1835 on part of Seminole Indian Chief Emathla’s hunting grounds. It grew through the establishment of a Baptist Church in 1844, F. and A.M. Lodge 53 in 1862, a public school in 1873, and Woodmen of the World Camp 498 in 1914. It was the boyhood home of Richard Ervin, a lifelong Woodman who later served as Attorney General and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Florida.
