Since its organization on March 11, 1870, Trinity Lutheran Church was the center of religious, educational, and social life in the Fedor community. The first to sign the congregation’s constitution were A. Handrick, A. Symmank, C. Dube, P. Pahn, A. Suchy, and A. Bleumel. The first pastor was the Rev. Johann Pallmer. The original board of elders included G. Boback, A. Lehmann, and G. Schroeder. After Boback gave 50 acres of land, the church bought another acre for its building site. A parochial school was opened by the Rev. John A. Proft, the first resident pastor. The longest pastorate, lasting nearly half a century from 1876 to 1923, was that of Pastor G. Birkmann.
