Mormon Peak is the highest mountain in the Mormon Mountains of southeastern Nevada, in Lincoln County. It is the county’s most topographically prominent summit and ranks twenty-fourth in prominence among Nevada’s peaks. Standing on public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management with no access restrictions, it is significant chiefly for its commanding rise above the surrounding country and for serving as the defining high point of the Mormon Mountains.
