Revis Hill Prairie State Natural Area is a 412.7-acre protected loess hill prairie in central Illinois near Easton, managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources as both a tallgrass prairie preserve and a fish and wildlife area with permit deer hunting. Its landscape, shaped by wind-deposited silt and erosion into ravines draining toward Salt Creek, preserves a once-common Illinois ecosystem largely lost to plowing. Sharp transitions from upland prairie to oak savanna and oak-hickory forest support rare plants and diverse wildlife. Returned to public ownership and dedicated as a natural area in August 1973, it is maintained through prescribed burning and invasive-species control.
