New Rome is an unincorporated community in eastern Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio, United States, located on the west side of the Columbus, Ohio metropolitan area. It was incorporated as a village in 1947 and dissolved in 2004. It encompassed an area roughly defined by Norton Rd., Green St., Lawrence Ave., and an unnamed alley paralleling Broad St. to the north. However, the (now gone) village hall was just outside the north boundary of the village proper, on the other side of Maple St. from the Prairie Township hall. The population was 60 at the 2000 census.
