Laurel Creek Church was built in 1869 and rebuilt in 1938. Trustees named with the church include G.C. Franklin, Jas A. Tolbert, J.N. Brown, R.C. Means, Rev. N.E. Franklin-PC, and Rev. D.S. Curry D.S. A new addition to Laurel Creek U. M. Church was made in 2005, with trustees John B. Hallums, CH Person, Thomas Burts, Banner Copeland, Thomas Hallums, John W. Prince, Adrick Talley, Elaine Means, Willie Dillard, Terry Conner, and James Walker Jr., along with CH Finance Fred Carter, CH Council Mary Virginia Taylor, Bishop Dr. Charles Johnson D.S., Calvin L. Smith, and the pastor.
