Castle Peak is a mountain in western Texas in the southwestern part of Taylor County, about eight miles south of Merkel. Rising 2,341 feet above sea level, it is a local landform rather than a prominent landmark of a major mountain range. Its significance lies chiefly in its position within the rolling country south of Merkel, where it is known as part of the surrounding landscape.
