The 84th Illinois Infantry, in the 3rd Brigade under Grose, 1st Division under Cruft, 4th Army Corps under Granger, was commanded by Colonel Louis H. Waters. It was with Geary's Division near Cravens' House from 3 until 6.30 p.m. on November 24th, then moved to Missionary Ridge by way of Rossville on the morning of November 25th, 1863. Its loss was 4.
