The Riley County Courthouse was designed by Holland and Squires Architects in the Romanesque style and was constructed by J.B. Betts of Topeka, with stone carving by David Penny, from 1905 to 1907. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and monument contributions were made by Bayer Stone, Bayer Construction, and Deggingers' Foundry.
