South Perkasie Covered Bridge in Perkasie, Pennsylvania, was built in 1832 and is the oldest covered bridge in Bucks County. This 93-foot Town truss bridge originally crossed Pleasant Spring Creek before being moved in 1959 to Lenape Park, where it was rededicated as a local landmark. Its survival gives it special importance among the county’s early bridges, and it remains a prominent example of 19th-century timber bridge construction. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 1, 1980, and it was heavily damaged by the remnants of Hurricane Ida in September 2021.
