Industry
1
The Frick and Davis Granary was built in 1853 as part of Mud Ranch, named for its rich black alluvial soil. George W. Davis and Christian Frick first settled the ranch in 1850, and the house was built in 1855. The ranch was one of the oldest, finest, and valuable ranches of Trinity County. James Wilson purchased the ranch in 1914, and the granary is still owned by the Wilson family.
