Alexander Virgil Hanna erected this native sandstone building in 1893 to house his drugstore. He also provided office space there for a doctor, lawyer, jeweler, and Chico's first telephone switchboard. Hanna sold the business in 1920 to Rueben R. Robinson, and after his death his daughter and son-in-law, LaBeth and William Marston Mead, continued to operate the store. Bobby and Frances Richey purchased it in 1973.
