The 14th Quartermaster Detachment served in Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. On February 25, 1991, at 12:23 E.S.T., the barracks housing its soldiers in Dharan, Saudi Arabia, were struck by an Iraqi Scud missile. The unit suffered the greatest number of casualties of any Allied unit deployed in Desert Storm, and thirteen men and women of the detachment made the ultimate sacrifice for the liberation of Kuwait and its people.
