Beryl Spring is a large hot spring in Yellowstone National Park’s Gibbon Geyser Basin in Wyoming. Its superheated pool is known for vigorous boiling that can splash up to about four feet, and it ranks among the hottest springs in Yellowstone, averaging about 196 degrees Fahrenheit. In 1883, the U.S. Geological Survey Hague party gave the spring its name because its blue-green color reminded one member of the gemstone beryl.
