Mount Sherrill, in Greene County, New York, is a Catskill peak between North Dome and Balsam Mountain within the Westkill Mountain Wilderness Area of Catskill State Park, named for Eliakim Sherrill. Though it stands within the Hudson River watershed, its slopes drain by different routes: the north side through Bennett Brook and Newton Brook to the West Kill, Schoharie Creek, the Mohawk River, and the Hudson, and the west and southeast sides into Esopus Creek by way of Bushnellsville Creek and Peck Hollow. The mountain is especially known for its isolation, with no marked trail over the summit and a hard-to-find old bus near three thousand two hundred feet.
