The Monmouth Rotary Club, chartered in 1918 as the city's oldest service club, first met in the Commercial Club Room of The Colonial Hotel, now the site of the Midwest Bank of Western IL. Rotary later met at Hawcock's Cafe, Hedricks Cafe, the Elks Club, and Melings Restaurant, and around 2002 was meeting at Generations Restaurant at Monmouth Country Club. Sidewalks in the middle of Central Park depict the gear of Rotary International's logo.
