Built in 1849, the Dream House was said in its architecture, construction, mill-work, and general floor plan to follow the Prince Archilles Murat Home in Tallahassee, though it was not one of the larger homes. It was 11 years younger than Madison. Nathan P. Williard owned the house and established the second cotton mill in Florida. The property passed to George W. T. Brinson, to Dalsedia Sambert Bogue, to William S. Jordan and Parramore S. Coggins, to Blanche Jordan, and to Thomas J. Beggs by December 7, 1908. Since the turn of the century, its owners were likewise people of prominence and cultural standing, and it was recently restored by Dr. and Mrs. Maurice King while its present owners were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Beggs III.
