Clark Botanic Garden is a 12-acre botanical garden and park in Roslyn Heights on Long Island, created in 1969 on the former estate of Grenville Clark, an attorney, writer, and adviser to President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its grounds include a farmhouse from the 1890s and landscapes designed by Alice Recknagel Ireys. The garden contains about 5,000 plant species, with more than 1,000 labeled trees, shrubs, and garden plants across 12 specialty gardens, along with two ponds, a community gardening area, and a gift shop. Owned by the Town of North Hempstead and operated by a nonprofit, it serves as both a public garden and a community resource.
