Odd Fellows Hall
History
Odd Fellows Hall in Blacksburg, Virginia, also known as Tadmore Light Lodge No. 6184, was built in 1905 for the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows. This two-story frame building, covered in painted weatherboard siding and topped with a standing-seam metal gable roof, became an important social center for Blacksburg’s African American community through the early and mid-20th century. Its historical importance rests not only in its modest architecture but in its role as a gathering place and community institution. In 2005, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
