September 11, 2001 reshaped the world in a single day. In Suwanee, this remembrance includes a stainless steel sculpture depicting an aerial view of Lower Manhattan, a historic timeline of the day's events, and a 1,628-pound artifact recovered from the World Trade Center. The twisted section of steel was part of an exterior panel used on floors 101-104 of one of the towers. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey gave this piece to Suwanee. The artistic display was created by Marc Moulton of Statesboro, Georgia, and dedicated by the City of Suwanee on September 11, 2013.
