Mollie Gibson acquired this property from her grandfather in 1873. With her husband, William T. York, she grew the farm to 400 acres. The two-story chestnut log farmhouse dates to 1846. The inn began in 1896 and was expanded in 1907 to 26 rooms. It is one of Georgia's oldest bed and breakfast inns, and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it is the oldest continuously operating business in Rabun County.
