Blue Creek Metropark in Whitehouse and Waterville Township, Ohio, is a conservation area owned by Metroparks Toledo, with part leased to the city of Whitehouse. Now a rustic park for quiet recreation and habitat, it preserves layers of geological and human history. Glacial striations formed there about 12,000 years ago, and in the 18th century the land was home to Wyandot, Potawatomi, Ottawa, and Chippewa communities. Limestone quarrying followed in the 19th century, and Toledo later used the property for the Toledo House of Corrections from 1917 to 1991. In 2019, a seismometer was installed there to monitor the Bowling Green Fault Line.
