Wild Horse Trail
Transportation
5
Thousands of eager miners passed by here during an 1864-65 gold rush to Wild Horse, BC, and parts of their pack trail still can be seen. As an extension of North Idaho's earlier gold excitements, Wild Horse was supplied by pack trains that hauled goods from Columbia River steamboats and wagon roads that connected with this trail. Some packers used camel trails, creating an odd sight in this forested wilderness.
