Whiskeytown Falls is a three-tiered waterfall in the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area of northern California with a combined drop of about 220 feet. Although it is a substantial cascade, it remained largely unknown for many years because it had been mapped incorrectly decades earlier. That cartographic mistake left a prominent waterfall effectively hidden in plain sight until its rediscovery in 2005. Since then, the falls have become recognized as one of the recreation area's most striking natural features and are associated with the James K. Carr Trail.
