Cathedral Peak
Nature
Cathedral Peak is a 13,950-foot mountain in Colorado's Elk Mountains, within the Rocky Mountains. It rises in the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness of White River National Forest about 11.1 miles south by west of Aspen. As a Colorado thirteener, it is among the high summits that shape the rugged skyline of this part of the Elk Range. Much of its present significance comes from its location in a protected wilderness area and its place within one of the best-known high mountain landscapes near Aspen.
