History
Leesylvania State Park lies on a small peninsula on the Potomac and contains ground rich with American history, including the Fairfax and Lee family homesteads. A moderate two-mile loop follows this historic ground past an old cemetery and gardens and out to Free Stone Point, where Confederate forces once commanded a battery of 32-pound cannons.
