Ishtehotopah

Ishtehotopah, whose home was one-half mile southeast, was the last Chickasaw king and gave his name to King's Creek and King's Ford Road, this highway. He authorized Monroe Mission, signed the Pontotoc Creek Treaty in 1832, and led a party to Indian Territory, where he died in 1840.
