The Congregational Church of Lewiston was organized in October 1889 and was incorporated and erected in 1896. Construction was done by a local contractor, Mr. Canfield, at a total cost of $750.00. During its early years, ministers traveled from Weaverville to conduct services. It now serves as a historic building for the town of Lewiston.
