Four pharmacies occupied 115 West First Street: first Tillison and Son, then Thomas Sullivan, then Joe Villiger from the 1940s until the 1960s, when he worked as a pharmacist in the classic style of a British “chemist,” compounding medicines in house and retailing various raw chemicals there, followed by the Anderson Pharmacy during the 1970s.
