The 109-foot Harshman Bridge, built in 1894 by E.S. Sherman for $3,184, spans Four Mile Creek on Concord-Fairhaven Road, half a mile south of Concord Church in Dixon Township. J.M. Acton did the masonry, using stone from nearby Stony Point quarry. This area was home to Delaware Native American families until 1815 and inspired the Legend of Tallawanda, in which a Native American maiden named Tallawanda discovered her own reflection in a creek pool after being told she would see the most beautiful girl in the forest there, followed by a grand wedding pow-wow. A sawmill also once operated near the bridge site.
