Harshman Covered Bridge near Fairhaven, Ohio, carries Concord-Fairhaven Road over Four Mile Creek. Built in 1894 by Everett S. Sherman, it survives from the period when covered timber bridges were a practical, familiar part of rural transportation in Ohio. Its significance has been recognized both for local history and for engineering history: it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, and in 2003 the Historic American Engineering Record documented it through photographs, measured drawings, and detailed data pages.
