Bigelow Bridge, locally called the Axe Handle Road Bridge, is a covered wooden truss bridge in Union County, Ohio, spanning Little Darby Creek on Axe Handle Road between Irwin and Chuckery. Built in 1873 by noted bridge builder Reuben Partridge and named for nearby resident Eliphas Bigelow, it is one of six historic covered bridges in the county and part of a small surviving group that reflects 19th-century rural bridge building in the area. Preserved as a local landmark, it was refurbished in 1990 with internal steel supports and repainted in July 2008.
