Paul T. Carr, who also sold Pontiacs from this location, built this Phillips 66 cottage-style station in 1932. Bill Wallis purchased the site in 1968, converted it to Mobil that year, and established the first office for Wallis Oil Company there. After Bill died in 2001, his family continued his legacy of business and philanthropy. A Missouri State Highway Patrol panel celebrates the organization's 75th anniversary in 2006.
