THE STORY

A Spanish land grant was made in 1789 to John Mills, an American Revolutionary soldier. Mills founded Bayou Sara in 1790 and was also a leader in the West Florida Rebellion in 1810. In 1835 Daniel Turnbull built the present home at Rosedown.
