Hopkinton honored those who served in World War I, from 1917 to 1919, including George E. Evans and E. Roger Montgomery, who were killed in service; Guy H. Burrage, a rear admiral in the U.S. Navy; numerous local servicemen; Laura Sanborn, an Army nurse; and members of the Student Training Corps: Llewellyn Boutwell, Frank W. Ladd, Kenneth P. Libbey, and George E. Conant.
