The Emma P. Flowers School building burned in December 1938 and was rebuilt in September 1939. The Ozark City School Board included T. C. Godwin, Jesse Adams, Sam J. Carroll, H. L. Holman, J.B. Mills as chairman, and Mrs. Emma Flowers as superintendent. The building committee included T. C. Godwin, Sam J. Carroll, B. F. Faust, J. B. Mills as chairman, and T. A. Cumbie as superintendent of building. The Ozark City School Board of Educations included J. J. Carroll as chairman, W. S Garner, Wilmer Parker, F. S. Howell, M. Sollie Jr, A. C. Canderson as superintendent, and E. H. Davis as contractor in 1927.
