A country cemetery at the Wayne County Poor Farm once held approximately 200 graves in Lamard Township, section 24, two miles north and three-quarters of a mile west of Fairfield. It was destroyed in the early 1950's. Those buried there had nothing but their names, and those too have been lost forever. Only God knows for sure. May they rest in peace.
